Voluntary trust services for individuals with problematic gambling in Québec: A three‑phase qualitative study

Objectives

Describe the voluntary trust programs offered in Québec for individuals with problematic gambling;
Understand the experiences of individuals with problematic gambling who have used voluntary trust programs, as well as the experiences of practitioners working in organizations that provide voluntary trust services;
Develop action strategies to improve voluntary trust services for individuals with problematic gambling, with the goal of preventing and reducing gambling‑related harms and ultimately contributing to homelessness prevention.

Phase 1:

An environmental scan will be conducted to describe the voluntary trust programs offered in Québec for individuals with problematic gambling.

Phase 2:

Individual semi‑structured interviews with:

Users of voluntary trust services who present problematic gambling (N = 25), and
Practitioners working in organizations offering voluntary trust services (N = 25).

Phase 3:

A co‑construction workshop using the TRIAGE method.
