Back to articles

The CHUS Research Centre recently recognized the excellence of Dr. Magaly Brodeur's work by naming her Researcher of the Month for November 2022. For Dr. Brodeur, a clinician, and researcher in the Health: Populations, Organizations, Practices Axis, this is an accomplishment that adds to the many awards and distinctions she has received during her young career. At CRCHUS, Dr. Magaly Brodeur conducts innovative research projects. Her work contributes to prevention and harm reduction in the field of behavioral addictions and aims to improve public policies as well as health care and social services for people struggling with behavioral addictions and their loved ones. Mindful of the active involvement of stakeholders in her research projects, Dr. Brodeur regularly collaborates with the CHUS Research Centre's Patient-Partner Strategic Committee and is currently conducting a research project on the patient-partner experience.

Since 1980, the CHUS Research Centre has been distinguished by an integrated approach that unites basic, clinical, epidemiological, and evaluative research. In 2022, more than 900 highly qualified researchers, research staff, and graduate students are dedicated to basic, clinical, epidemiological, and evaluative research. The Health: Populations, Organizations, Practices Axis aims to improve the health of individuals and their trajectory of care and services.
